Day 8 - Readings..

Last night's readings were helpful for today's lecture. Everything made sense right away and the information felt familiar overall. If I have time tomorrow, I'm going to get started on "Chapter 11: Nucleophilic substitution at C=O with loss of carbonyl oxygen" with the hopes of finishing the chapter by the end of the week.

Technique #3:
A small preview of today's lecture notes are shown on the right. Simplicity is key; I don't write down everything the professor says or I'll fall behind very quickly. It's hard to juggle writing and listening (listening =/= hearing) at the same time; for anybody. I jot down important points and move on. At the end of the lecture, I finish up any incomplete notes I may have. I'd rather listen to Dr. Leigh in real-time than be lagging 25-seconds behind for an hour.

Nike Air's #forlyfe
90-minute commute home from Toronto this evening. I had the iPad on me with our textbook installed, so I read more than half of Chapter 11 during the time I was on the subway & bus. Way ahead of schedule.

Don't play Candy Crush and listen to music during your commute. You can make that time way more valuable for yourself. Got a 90-minute commute to school, and another on your way back? Finish an entire chapter in those three hours. Boom. Easy.
